Commander of field operations for the Allied forces in Syria warned on Wednesday the Turkish combat forces from approaching the Syrian defense lines in Aleppo battle zone.
“Any progress of Turkish forces under the name of Shield of the Euphrates or other towards the defense lines of Syria’s allies in the north and east of Aleppo, will be dealt with firmly and strongly,” he declared.
“We will not allow anyone to invoke his fighting against Daesh to try to get closer to the defenses of the Allied forces,” the commander said using the Arab acronym for ISIL (the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’).
“We will consider it a violation of the red lines and will be faced by the strong and appropriate response,” he added.
