Syrian authorities denounced on Wednesday an Israeli missile strike that hit close to the Syrian Air Force base of al-Meze, southwest of Damascus.
There were no casualties, according to the Syrian state news agency SANA.
"At around 03.00 local time (01.00 GMT), the Israeli foe launched a salvo of ground-to-ground missiles from the occupied Golan territories, west of Mount Abu-an-Nada, which fell on the outskirts of the al-Meze military airdrome," said a military source quoted by the agency.
The attack only caused some fires where the missiles hit.
The same source said this was "a desperate attempt by the Israeli enemy to support the terrorist groups and raise their morale."
