Two armed Syrian opposition groups on Friday agreed to a ceasefire after three days of conflict in Idlib, in the country’s northwest.
Muhammad Abu Zeyd, a spokesman of Ahrar al-Sham, told Anadolu Agency that his group and Tahrir al-Sham, al-Qaeda's Syrian branch, decided to end the conflict, saying that they will leave Bab al-Hawa, along the border with Turkey.
The control of the Bab al-Hawa border crossing will be ceded to civilian officials, Abu Zeyd said.
The conflict between the two groups started on July 18.
