The U.S. is again designating North Korea a state sponsor of terrorism, President Donald Trump announced Monday as Washington continues to lead a campaign to halt Pyongyang’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs.
The move "should have happened years ago", Trump said, adding that it "supports our maximum pressure campaign to isolate the murderous regime".

ReplyDeleteSpeaking at the start of a cabinet meeting at the White House on Monday, Trump said the US Treasury Department will start announcing additional major sanctions against North Korea on Tuesday.
"It will be the highest level of sanctions by the time it is finished over a two week period," he added.
At the same time, White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders took to Twitter on Monday to say that Trump had also designated The DPRK as a state sponsor of terrorism.
