3 dead, 6 missing, thousands forced to flee as storm heads for Philippines
Tropical storm Kai-Tak slammed into the Philippines on Saturday, killing three people in flash floods and landslides, disaster relief officials said.


Six people also went missing in landslides in the provinces of Leyte and Eastern Samar, which bore the brunt of Kai-Tak, the national disaster relief agency said.

More than 150,000 people were affected by the storm, including nearly 40,000 who were forced to flee their homes due to Kai-Tak, the disaster relief agency said.
