Kremlin to offer its reaction to Ukrainian foreign minister’s affronting words (Dmitry Peskov)

Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov has pledged that the Kremlin would offer its reaction to the scandalous pronouncements by Ukraine’s acting foreign minister in respect of the Russian leaders.

“But the first reaction to Andrei Deshchitsa’s words should come from our foreign minister,” Peskov told the Russian News Service.

“Some time is needed to assess what has happened.”

Earlier on Sunday, Russian Foreign Ministry’s human rights envoy Konstantin Dolgov said that Deshchitsa’s affronting pronouncements in respect of the Russian leaders during the attack on the Russian embassy in Kiev demonstrated the entire world what kind of people have come to power in Ukraine.
“I think it is beyond any comments,” he told the Govorit Moskva radio station. “It is just another example of the political culture, or, to be more precise, the lack of any culture, of people who are in power in Kiev.”

It is a good signal to the entire world demonstrating whom it will have to deal with in Kiev,” he said. “I think that is the acting foreign minister allows himself to do such things on camera, he must realize what kind of conclusions would be drawn and what kind of consequences would follow. It is an outrage.”

  • Addressing people who gathered in front of the Russian embassy on Saturday, Deshchitsa afforded unquotable words.
