„In zwei Tagen in Warschau“

Putins neue Drohungen gegenüber Osteuropa geben Rätsel auf. Ein Telefonat zwischen dem russischen Präsidenten Putin und dem ukrainischen Präsidenten Poroschenko wird öffentlich....

Ein Raunen geht durch Europa, Russlands Staatsmedien aber schweigen. Am Donnerstag veröffentlichte die „Süddeutsche Zeitung“ Auszüge des Protokolls eines Gesprächs zwischen EU-Kommissionspräsident José Manuel Barroso und dem ukrainischen Präsidenten Pjotr Poroschenko.

Unter anderem ein Zitat Poroschenkos über ein Telefonat mit Wladimir Putin, bei dem Putin wörtlich gesagt habe: „Wenn ich wollte, könnten russische Truppen in zwei Tagen nicht nur in Kiew, sondern auch in Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn, Warschau oder Bukarest sein.“

Eine frontale militärische Drohung an fünf osteuropäische Nato-Mitglieder. Der Kreml äußerte sich zunächst nicht, Putins treue Kommentatoren dementierten. Der Präsident sei viel zu vorsichtig, um so etwas zu sagen, versichert der Politologe Alexei Muchin der FR. „Poroschenko versucht, mit solchen Zitaten möglichst viele europäische Führer an die Ukraine zu binden.“ Allerdings veröffentlichte im September die italienische Zeitung „La Republica“ einen sehr wortnahen Spruch Putins gegenüber Barroso: Wenn Putin wolle, sei er in zwei Tagen in Kiew. ***Russia’s president Vladimir Putin has stated that he can bring troops into Warsaw, Vilnius and a number of other capitals of the EU and the NATO countries.
This information is revealed in a short message of the EU foreign policy service, a German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung writes.
As stated by the newspaper, Putin had told so to Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko.

“If I had wanted, I would have brought troops within two days not only to Kyiv, but to Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn, Warsaw and Bucharest,” Putin told to Poroshenko.
Besides, as the German newspaper informs, Putin recommended the Ukrainian president “not to rely on the EU too much”, as if required, he can “influence and block passing a decision at the level of the European Council.”
