DAMASCUS: Syria Monday denied a report that President Bashar Assad's regime is building a secret underground plant with the aim of developing nuclear weapons, state news agency SANA said.
"Syria denies these allegations," said SANA.
Hezbollah, which has been supporting Assad's regime in Syrian conflict, is guarding the secret project, Der Spiegel added.

ReplyDeleteAls unseriös hat das russische Außenministerium den Bericht des deutschen Spiegel-Magazins über eine angebliche Atomfabrik in Syrien bezeichnet.
Der Spiegel hatte in der vergangenen Woche unter Berufung auf Satellitenbilder und geheime Dokumente berichtet, dass der syrische Staatschef Bashar al-Assad an der Grenze zum Libanon eine unterirdische Anlage errichten lasse, die zum Bau von Nuklearwaffen geeignet sein soll.
