Russia vows to impose food ban in new sanctions against Turkey

Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said the fruit and vegetable ban could be deferred for "several weeks" to allow Russian firms to find new suppliers and curb price rises, in comments reported on Monday by state news agency RIA Novosti.

Russia and Turkey are at loggerheads after Turkey shot down a Russian warplane last week saying it violated Turkish airspace, triggering economic sanctions from Moscow and the cancellation of visa-free agreements between the countries.

Officials also said Russia could expand sanctions on Turkey if needed...
