Ukraine FM says Minsk process may be frozen due to the sides’ disagreement

The Minsk process may be frozen because of disagreement by the sides, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said after the Normandy Four foreign ministers had met in Berlin earlier on Wednesday.

"We could not reach an agreement on major key issues. Regrettably, differences on the crucial and key points may ultimately freeze the Minsk process," the Ukrainian foreign minister stressed.

  • OSCE to submit new proposals on security in Donbass
  • According to the diplomat, the OSCE mission in Ukraine will present new proposals for security in Donbass.

"We raised some questions, in particular on security," he said. "We agreed that the OSCE would introduce new proposals for security."

"We have proposed a three-stage plan of the bases for the SMM (the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Donbass) from which it will be possible to control the border," Klimkin said.
