Minute's silence for victims of Nice attack. Yesterday, those who died were remembered at prayer services

A minute’s silence will be held across France later today to remember those killed in the Nice attacks.

The Tricolour will fly at half-mast over Government Buildings, as well as other public buildings across Ireland, as a mark of respect to those who died in the tragedy on Bastille Day.

Meanwhile, police in France are continuing to question six suspects in connection with the attack, which left 84 people dead and scores injured.

The ex-wife of the attacker Mohamed Bouhlel was released from police custody yesterday.

Her lawyer said she had had no contact with her estranged husband and she had left him after he was physically abusive to her.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that hours before the attack, Bouhlel sent a picture of himself to his brother where he was laughing, standing in a crowd of people in Nice.

Minutes before the attack he texted someone asking them to bring more weapons.

Yesterday, those who died were remembered at prayer services and the tributes will continue today across France.
