Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his British counterpart Boris Johnson have discussed the normalization of bilateral relations and the situation in Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said after their telephone conversation.
"Both sides expressed the hope for the normalization of Russian-British ties and emphasized the intention to step up the political dialog despite the remaining problems in bilateral relations with the aim to implement their considerable potential, including the economy, humanitarian ties and foreign policy interaction," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The ministers discussed crucial aspects of the struggle against terrorism and the situation in Syria."
