Foreign ministers of Russia and Germany, Sergei Lavrov and Frank Walter Steinmeier at negotiations due in Yekaterinburg on August 15 will discuss settlements in Syria and Ukraine, issues of the European security and fighting terrorism, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
"At the negotiations, the foreign ministers will discuss current aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres," the ministry said. "Sergei Lavrov and Frank Walter Steinmeier will continue the exchange of opinions on key international problems, including progress in implementation of the Minsk agreements on settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, and progress of the peace process in Syria, on issues of the European security, and on fighting international terrorism."
Prior to the negotiations Lavrov and Steinmeier will take part in the opening ceremony of the Russian-German Summer School "Development of Energy Sector. Modern Challenges" at the Urals University.
