Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted for consideration the State Duma the agreement on the deployment of Russian air group in Syria. According to «Parlamentskaya Gazeta», it defines the legal status of Russian troops.

Under the agreement, the stay of the troops in Syria will be indefinite, and Russia will not have to pay the authorities for the use of local infrastructure. The decision about the involvement of troops will be made by the commander of the group, but in coordination with the Syrian side. You need to agree on the composition of the air group.

Russia will be able to import duty-free Syria any base equipment, and the army guaranteed the opportunity to cross the border, avoiding Syrian border crossing inspection. The Russians will also receive immunity from civil and administrative jurisdiction of Syria.

«Now we will have a guarantee that it will not end in three, five or ten years. Do not think that the possible arrival after a time, other political forces inside Syria will lead to the fact that the agreement will be broken», — said the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Ozerov.
