Oettinger predicts that next flow of refugees will be from Egypt

The political situation in Egypt is not stable, while the economic prospects are not optimistic. This can result in the flow of refugees to the EU, reports DW, referring to the announcement of the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy Günther Hermann Oettinger.

According to Oettinger, there is a concern that in Egypt young people are looking for ways to migrate to the EU. Oettinger stressed that Germany and Europe do not think, that they should prevent causes that will push people for emigration in 10 years today.

"Europe must finally become mature," Oettinger said, stressing that the EU is missing out on a number of benefits - it does not pay enough attention to the strengthening of cooperation in the fields of economy and security. As Oettinger says, the EU should learn the lesson from the outcome of the US presidential elections.
