Russia regrets that the United States continues its destructive policy of expanding sanctions against Russia, the country will take proper measures in response to the US actions, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
The US Department of the Treasury said in a release on Tuesday that the United States had introduced sanctions against seven Russian citizens, eight entities and two vessels.
"We regret that the destructive policy is continued by Washington, we still do not agree with this policy, we believe that it causes very serious damage to our bilateral relations," Peskov said.
"Of course, the Russian side has taken proper measures in line with the well-established practice," he said.
