Turkish Army Dispatches Hundreds of Fresh Forces, Equipment to Northern Syria

The Turkish Army has sent 500 more Special Forces to the town of al-Bab, media sources disclosed on Monday, adding the army has also forwarded a large volume of military equipment to the border with Syria for fresh operation in al-Bab and Manbij towns.


The Turkish language Meliyat daily reported that five hundred commandoes of the army have been sent to al-Bab town in Northern Aleppo, while Anadolu news agency released news about dispatch of more equipment to the border with Syria.

According to Anadolu, the Turkish army deployed several tanks, logistical vehicles and 10 units of artillery at the Southeastern borders with Syria, and the regions of Urgozlu and Karkamis on the way to Jarabulus in Syria.

A number of the army soldiers have been killed in the operations in al-Bab, while the Turkish air force has inflicted tens of casualties on civilians in the region.
