Russia will retaliate immediately if its military units in Syria attacked

Deputy Chairman of Committee of the State Duma on Defense Yury Shvydkin stressed that Russia will immediately retaliate if the Russian military units in Syria are targeted.

Shvydkin told Novosti Agency that there are Russian military facilities on the Syrian territories, and in case the Russian military units are threatened, the US President Donald Trump and his ilk must realize what this would lead to, indicating that there will be real deeds not words.

He indicated that the Syrian air defense is able to confront any threat by itself due to the measures taken after the US aggression.
