Russia Downs Several Israeli Drones in Syria's Airspace

Quneitra
A Russian media outlet reported on Saturday that the Russian air defense units in Syria have shot down three Israeli unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the war-hit country's airspace in April, May and July.

The Arabic-language website of the Russian Sputnik news agency said that based on the Russian Defense Ministry's intelligence air defense units equipped with guided missiles targeted and downed three Heron spying drones of Israel on April 9, May 20 and July 6.

Relevant reports said in early July that anti-aircraft units of the Syrian Army shot down an Israeli spy drone over the pro-government forces' positions in the Southern province of Quneitra.

The Syrian army shot down an Israeli drone as it was carrying out spying flight over the pro-government forces' positions in Northern Quneitra.

In the meantime, sources affiliated to the terrorists said they heard the sound of an explosion in Northern Quneitra, claiming that an Israeli plane targeted positions of the Syrian Army in Quneitra province.
