Turkish warplanes bomb suspected PKK strongholds in northeastern Iraq

The airstrikes targeted Mount Asos
Turkish warplanes bombed alleged positions belonging to Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) guerrillas in the northeastern Iraqi province of Sulaymaniyah, an official told EFE on Sunday.


The airstrikes targeted Mount Asos near the town of Galala in the Mawat region, according to the district's mayor, Kamran Hassan.
