Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said earlier in the day that Russia was working within the UN Security Council to prepare a resolution on humanitarian issues in Syria’s Eastern Ghouta.

Angesichts der kritischen Situation im syrischen Ost-Ghuta ist der Verhandlungsprozess zur friedlichen Regelung des bewaffneten Konflikts im Land torpediert worden. Dies teilte der Sprecher des russischen Zentrums für Versöhnung der Konfliktparteien in Syrien, Generalmajor Juri Jewtuschenko, am Mittwoch bei einem Briefing mit.

Diese Milizen würden in Ost-Ghuta zudem die Zivilisten daran hindern, die von ihnen kontrollierten Gebiete über den Kontrollpunkt Muhajm al-Wafidin zu verlassen.
