“Chemical weapons in Syria were produced by militants and equipment was manufactured in Western Europe,” Zakharova said Friday at a briefing of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense.
She added that the investigation is underway regarding the equipment which were used in manufacturing that weapon.
The Russian Defense Ministry stressed that the west tries to deceive the public opinion by falsifying the facts about the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
“The OPCW Fact-Finding Mission into the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria, ignores the official rules and depends on what the terrorists-linked “white Helmet “provides of information,” the Ministry said.
“Russian investigations into the alleged use of chemical weapons in Duma proved that the attack was fabricated,” the Defense Ministry said, adding that witnesses brought by the Russian side to The Hague proved that this attack was fabricated.
It stressed that after the medical detection, no traces of toxic substances were found on the bodies of those who were exposed to the alleged chemical attacks.

Russia’s Defense Ministry has revealed that equipment manufactured by the EU and US was found in a terrorist chemical lab in Syria, which was used to produce explosives and poisonous agents.
ReplyDeleteThe statement was made at a joint briefing by the Russian Foreign and Defense Ministries on Friday, when they displayed the equipment that spokesperson Maria Zakharova said was found in the Syrian town of Douma, near the capital Damascus.
Major General Igor Kirillov, chief of Russia’s Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops, said a lab rigged with explosives was discovered in Douma on April 17, along with a store of chemicals.
