US-backed militia opens fire on protesters in Syria’s Der Ezzour, wounding 3 civilians
At least 3 civilians were wounded when the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia opened fire on protesters in al-Hwayej town in the eastern Der Ezzour countryside.


The town’s residents protested today against the presence of the US occupation forces in Syria and against the assassination of one of the dignitaries of alK’edat tribe.

Moreover, there was a protest against the SDF militia in Jadid Akidat town in the same province [Der Ezzour].

“The protesters prevented the SDF elements from storming their town and took 7 SDF elements hostage and seized 3 cars affiliated to the militia amid tension in the vicinity of the town,” according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).  

Yesterday, the residents of Theban village, eastern Deir Al-Zour, demonstrated against the US-backed SDF militia’s crimes and practices.

The countryside of Deir Al-Zour is witnessing renewed demonstrations by the residents who protest against the SDF militia’s attacks and arrest of people.

  1. Representatives of Syrian Arab tribes have stormed several local headquarters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the cities of Deir ez-Zor, Diban, and Al-Hawaij in the eastern Deir ez-Zor Province. The armed tribesmen also detained SDF militants present in the buildings at that moment.

    Sputnik has obtained a video showing how the representatives of the Arab tribes rushed into one of the headquarters in Deir ez-Zor. Around 100 men participated in the storming of the building.

  2. Protests calling for expelling Qasad (SDF) militias and US forces from Deir Ezzor countryside took places in several villages in the province.

    SANA’s reporter said that the people of Jdeid Agedat, al-Shuheil and Dhiban villages on Tuesday afternoon took to the streets calling for the departure of Qasad militia and US forces.

    The reporter said that the protesters in Jdeid Agedat in the eastern countryside thwarted an attempt by Qasad militias to raid the village and detained 7 members of Qasad, in addition to seizing 3 of their cars along with their weapons.
