Spanish court rejects custody for Polisario Front leader Ghali

--

Spain’s High Court has turned down a request for Western Sahara’s independence leader to be taken into custody, saying they have not received any evidence linking him to alleged war crimes.

Brahim Ghali has been accused of genocide, murder and terrorism, but the leader of the Polisario Front says the accusations against him are politically motivated. Ghali is currently in Spain, undergoing treatment for COVID-19.
