U.S. special envoy for North Korea, Sung Kim, arrived in South Korea this morning... for talks on denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
Upon arrival, Kim told reporters that he looks forward to "productive meetings" with his South Korean and Japanese counterparts... as well as other colleagues in the Korean government.
He did not comment on North Korea's recent message toward the U.S.
The American diplomat is accompanied by Deputy Special Representative Jung Pak... and a representative of the National Security Council.
On Monday, chief nuclear negotiators from South Korea, the U.S., and Japan will sit down in Seoul... for talks on the Korean peninsula affairs.
