The UK is set to face another day of extreme weather on Sunday as a second storm is expected to make landfall in the coming hours amid warnings by the Met Office following the deaths of two people.
Over 130,000 homes and businesses across northern England and Scotland have been cut off from the power grid due to extreme winds and torrential rain brought on by Saturday’s Storm Malik and Sunday’s Storm Corrie, according to Sky News.
"Storm Corrie will bring very strong winds to the north of the UK, especially northern Scotland, on Sunday. This follows just one day after Storm Malik moves through, also bringing a spell of very strong winds,” a statement from the Met Office said.
