"Based on the requirement, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media has restricted access to a number of information resources belonging to foreign media outlets, including those recognized as foreign agents in Russia. In particular, the sites of Voice of America (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia), the BBC, Deutsche Welle, Meduza (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) and their projects, as well as a number of other information resources have been blocked," the agency’s press service reported on Friday.
The media watchdog explained that the systematic publications of information materials containing inaccurate information about Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine served as grounds for restricting access to these information resources.
