Sanctions to create new humanitarian problems worldwide - Chinese diplomat - TASS

Sanctions have had a serious effect on global financial markets and will keep creating new humanitarian problems, Chinese deputy envoy to the UN, Ambassador Dai Bing, told the UN Security Council.

According to the Chinese diplomat, "the ever-escalating, sweeping, indiscriminate sanctions have hit global energy, food, economic, trade and financial markets, and will continue to do so, affecting the lives and livelihoods of the general public, and giving rise to new humanitarian problems."

"Developing countries, which make up the majority of the world, are not parties to this conflict, and should be drawn into the confrontation and forced to suffer the consequences of geopolitical clashes and sparring among major powers," he said.
