**Russia will give an instant response to external attempts to interfere in the situation in Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Russia’s Council of Legislators on Wednesday.

"If someone from outside moves to interfere in the current developments, they should know that they will indeed create strategic threats to Russia, which are unacceptable to us, and they should know that our response to encounter assaults will be instant, it will be quick," he stated.

Putin noted that he had mentioned the possibility of such a scenario "at the very beginning of the special military operation" in Ukraine.

The president emphasized that Russia was capable of responding with the means that its opponents did not have yet. "We have all the tools to do it, the tools that others can’t boast of at the moment, but as for us, we won’t be boasting. We will use them if the need arises and I would like everyone to be aware of it. We have made all the necessary decisions in this regard," the president stated.

At the same time, Putin stressed that Russia would achieve the goals set for the special military operation in Ukraine. "Our soldiers and officers, as well as Donbass militias, are bravely doing their duty. All the objectives will be met," Putin emphasized.
