UA Tochka-U strike in Kramatorsk "for children" ("За детей"): Basurin

 1. The shelling of Kramatorsk was carried with a Tochka-U rocket with cluster warhead, said Eduard Basurin, a representative of the People's Militia of the Donetsk People's Republic.

"The type of ammunition - as it was used in Donetsk at that time - is cluster," he said.

2. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the missile attack on #Kramatorsk, which took place this Friday, was carried out by a division of the Ukrainian Missile Troops from the town of #Dobropolye, located 45 kilometers from the city.

The attack left 50 people dead and 86 more injured, said the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavel Kirilenko, adding that many of the victims are in serious condition.

"Tochka-U tactical missiles, the remains of which were discovered near the Kramatorsk railway station, are only used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the ministry said.

According to the Russian military, the objective of this offensive was to frustrate "the massive departure of residents of the city to use them as human shields and thus defend positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as in many other locations" in the country.
