More than 30 fires erupt in Ukraine after explosions — emergencies officials

More than 30 fires erupted in Kiev and eight Ukrainian regions where critical infrastructure suffered damage, the country’s State Service for Emergency Situations said on Monday.

"More than 30 fires broke out," it said in a statement published on Facebook (banned in Russia as it’s owned by Meta Corporation, which is designated as extremist in Russia).

Damaged critical infrastructure mostly includes energy facilities, according to the statement. More than 1,000 people and 120 vehicles are involved in the firefighting and disaster relief efforts.
