Russian embassy slams Canada for turning blind eye to Kiev’s crimes

The Canadian authorities keep turning a blind eye to the Kiev regime’s crimes, the Russian Embassy in Ottawa said on Twitter, according to TASS.

“Multiple civilians, including journalists and minors, were brutally killed and injured as a result of a Ukrainian strike at a ferry crossing in Kherson. No doubt though that Justin Trudeau’s cabinet will remain consistent in turning a blind eye to the Kiev regime’s crimes and atrocities,” the tweet reads.

“Kiev and its Western accomplices are vigorously spreading another fake news about Russia’s ‘plans’ to blow up the [Kakhovka] hydropower plant and dam in the Kherson region,” the Embassy added.

“The West and Justin Trudeau’s cabinet are perfectly aware that the real perpetrator of the crimes against civilians is Ukraine they cynically back up,” the Russian Embassy emphasized.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 12 missiles at a ferry crossing in Kherson in the early hours of Friday morning. Eleven missiles were shot down by air defenses and one fell near the Antonov Bridge. The attack killed four people, including local reporters, and left another ten wounded. According to the regional government’s head Sergey Yeliseyev, the attack presumably involved US-made HIMARS missiles.
