Ukrainian forces prepare for counteroffensive actions — Biden - TASS

Ukrainian forces are preparing to carry out counteroffensive actions, US President Joe Biden said Wednesday.
"With spring approaching, the Ukrainian forces are working to defend the territory they hold and prepare for additional counter offenses. To liberate their land, they need to be able to counter the evolving Russian tactics and strategy on the battlefield in the very near term," the US leader said.

"They need to improve their capability to maneuver in the open terrain," Biden said, referring to the Ukrainian forces. He also believes that Kiev needs "enduring capability" to counter Russia "in the long term."

During the briefing, the US President confirmed that Washington decided to ship 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Kiev.
