The prospect of nuclear war is growing every day, says Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The President of the Council pointed out that the issues of climate change in the current geopolitical conditions have taken a back seat compared to the risk of a nuclear collision, and called for an end to "suffering because the temperature has risen by one degree".
"In my opinion, this is nothing compared to the prospect of being at the epicenter of an explosion with a temperature of five thousand Kelvin, a shock wave of 350 meters per second..." - Medvedev said on April 25 during the meeting with the participants of the "Knowledge" marathon.
Medvedev pointed out that the prospect of being in the center of a nuclear explosion today is growing every day.
Western countries do not want equal partnership with Russia and "they only want to dominate," Medvedev stressed.
"That is why, I want to repeat again: they understand only the use-of-force language and they must be countered only with force. It is only in this case that an end will be put to the intents of NATO’s endless and continuous expansion and the plans of surrounding Russia with ever new military bases and testing our strength," he pointed out.
