Kremlin: Kyiv's attack on Moscow is a response to the strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on one of the decision-making centers

The Kremlin said that the attack by Ukrainian drones on the Russian capital is Kyiv's response to the effective strike of the Russian Armed Forces on one of the decision-making centers in Ukraine, which was inflicted on Sunday.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the working day of the head of state began early due to the Ukrainian attack. Putin received direct information from the relevant departments, including the Ministry of Defense and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, as well as from the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov and from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In addition, Peskov praised the actions of Russian air defense systems that repelled the Ukrainian attack.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, eight drones participated in the attack. All of them were amazed. Five shot down with a Pantsyr-S anti-aircraft missiles in the suburbs. Three more were knocked off course by means of electronic warfare.

  1. Russian President Vladimir Putin has no plans to make a special address after a drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow Region, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

"There are no special plans at the moment," the Kremlin spokesman said in reply to a corresponding question. "But we know that, thank God, there are no casualties and there is no threat to the residents of Moscow and its suburbs at the moment," he said.

According to Peskov, the attack "once again confirms the need to continue the special military operation and achieve its goals."

At the same time, the spokesman did not answer the question about the security of Moscow after this morning's drone attack. "I can't comment on the defense of the capital, I can only repeat that the Defense Ministry and Air Defense Troops worked well," he said.
