"It’s noisy in Kiev, with more than ten blasts occurring so far. Air defenses are in action. [Sounds of explosions] were heard very well in the city center, they woke us up," eyewitnesses have told TASS.
TASS also learned that explosions were followed by a fire, seen in Kiev's Dneprovsky district on the left bank of the Dnepr River.
Ukraine’s official air raid alert portal earlier said that a warning had been issued for the capital and a number of other regions.

Air raid alerts were announced in multiple regions of Ukraine late on Friday night, including the capital city and the Kiev region, according to air raid data from the country's Ministry of Digital Transformation.
ReplyDeleteAir raid warnings were in effect in the Ukrainian regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Kharkiv, as well as the Ukraine-controlled parts of Zaporizhzhia region, starting around 00:05 a.m. local time on Saturday (21:05 GMT on Friday), the ministry's online map showed.
Later in the night, air raid sirens went off in the Kiev and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine.
The Kiev city administration said on Telegram that an air raid warning was in effect in the Ukrainian capital.
Ukrainian news website Strana.ua said in the early hours of Saturday that explosions were heard in the regions of Chernihiv and Zhytomyr, as well as the Ukrainian capital, overnight.
