Belgium will demand "an explanation" from Kyiv because of the use of its weapons in Belgorod region

The Belgian Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry "as soon as possible" will demand an explanation from Kiev regarding the use of weapons of its production by the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group in Belgorod, the Belgian newspaper Le Soir writes on June 4, citing a source.

Thus, Brussels reacted to the data published by The Washington Post that the Ukrainian saboteurs who attacked the Belgorod region at the end of May used vehicles and weapons from the United States, Poland, the Czech Republic and Belgium.

 “Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder and Foreign Minister Adja Labib will contact the Ukrainian authorities at the earliest opportunity to demand clarification,” the publication says.

 Brussels also indicated that the weapons were intended exclusively for the Ukrainian military in order to protect their territory and population. According to the source, this provision is directly indicated in the accompanying documents for each delivery.
