NATO considers the US and British strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen to be “defensive,” AFP reports, citing the alliance.
"NATO says the US-led strikes against the Houthis are 'defensive,'" the agency said.
The United States and Britain have delivered 73 strikes on the territory of Yemen, Yahya Saria, the military spokesman for the Yemeni rebel movement Ansar Allah (Houthis), Yahya Saria, said in a statement posted on his Telegram channel.
"Five fighters from our armed forces were killed in the strikes, with six others injured," as the Yemeni capital Sanaa, as well as four provinces — Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah and Saada — were hit, Saria said.
