Sovereignty of Gibraltar remains unchanged: Britain prepared to go to war to defend the territory

There will be no change to Gibraltar's sovereignty without Britain's consent, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said Monday, while his Dutch counterpart called for calm after a British politician raised talk of defending the outpost.

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was flying to the southern province of Santa Cruz from where she will be later heading to the city of Ushuaia in the province of Tierra del Fuego to lead the official rally marking the 33rd anniversary of the South Atlantic War that Argentina fought against the United Kingdom over the sovereignty of the occupied Malvinas Islands.
