Two confirmed dead as vehicle hits crowd in Stockholm


A vehicle drove into a crowd of people outside a busy department store in central Stockholm this afternoon, with police confirming at least two people had been killed.

Swedes Demand Assyrian Autonomy to Make Up for Daesh Genocide

After having established a quasi-state in the Middle East, Daesh has been guilty of many evils, including persecution of other ethnic groups, whose religious beliefs happen to differ from radical Islam, such as the Assyrians. A group of Swedish politicians now advocate the creation of a local Assyrian autonomy to prevent future genocides.

Sweden Confirms Submarine Presence. (“a foreign power has violated Swedish territorial integrity.”)

Sweden says it can confirm a submarine violated its territorial waters near Stockholm in October.
“There is no doubt, we have excluded all other explanations. Swedish territory has been seriously and unacceptably violated by a foreign power,” said Supreme Commander Sverker Göranson in a statement.

Sweden spends €2.2 million to prove no suspicious submarines wander around

Sweden has spent €2.2 million and one week on an effort to look for a phantom foreign submarine only to eventually acknowledge the absence of suspicious “foreign underwater activity.” For seven days the Swedish armed forces were conducting a sweeping operation involving naval ships and the Marines to find nothing alarming. As follows from the armed forces’ news release, all units have been restored to the routine degree of readiness.
Sweden has failed to present any proof of unauthorized foreign presence in its territorial waters.

Officials with the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation believe that the actions of the Swedish authorities heighten tensions in the Baltic Sea, RT reports. As a result of the campaign, one may violate the rules for  maritime economic activities in the region, Russian officials said.

Russia refutes Western reports on naval emergencies. (Sweden intensifies search for suspected submarine near Stockholm)

The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday refuted Western reports over a potential incident involving the country's submarine.

"There have been no irregular situations and, even less so, accidents involving Russian naval vessels," the ministry said in a statement.

The Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet reported Saturday that the country's military intelligence had intercepted radio signals between an area off the coast of Stockholm and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad.

One of detained OSCE military observers released in Slavyansk

One of the military observers from OSCE member countries, who were detained in Ukraine’s southeastern town of Slavyansk, has been released.

This is a Swedish national who suffers from diabetes. He was released for health reasons.

On Friday, April 25, supporters of federalization in Slavyansk, a city in the southeast of Ukraine, detained a bus with passengers, with unarmed military observers from OSCE countries among them. The observers are staying in the east of Ukraine at the invitation of the Kiev authorities.

Russia has to react as NATO moves closer to its borders - Medvedev

Russia cannot see NATO expansion towards its borders as positive, as under certain circumstances the possibility of military confrontation remains, the Russian PM has said at the Euro-Arctic Council’s forum.
When a reporter asked Dmitry Medvedev how the balance of forces in Europe will change if Sweden and Finland decide to enter NATO, the Russian Prime Minister answered that his country would have to react to such developments.
This is their own business; they are making decisions in accordance with the national sovereignty doctrine. But we have to consider the fact that for us the NATO bloc is not simply some estranged organisation, but a structure with military potential,” the head of the Russian government said adding that under certain unfavorable scenarios this potential could be used against Russia.
