USA betonen Recht der Iraner auf friedlichen Protest

Angesichts der jüngsten Demonstrationen im Iran hat die US-Regierung in der Silvesternacht das Recht des iranischen Volkes auf friedliche Meinungsäußerung betont.

Zuvor hatte sich Präsident Donald Trump in einer Serie von Tweets zu den Protesten im Iran geäußert, die sich zunächst gegen die Wirtschafts- und Außenpolitik der Regierung von Präsident Hassan Rouhani (Rohani) gerichtet hatten, dann aber zunehmend systemkritisch wurden.
