Foreign aid workers left Yemeni port city

port city of Hodeida
Foreign humanitarian workers attached to the UN and other international organizations have left the port city of Hodeida, Yemeni officials say, citing intensified fighting there.
Yemen’s Shiite Houthi rebels stepped up fighting with forces loyal to the internationally recognized government of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi along the coast of Hodeida and western Yemen, the officials said on Friday.

Local employees with the UN and other organizations are now carrying out the humanitarian work in Hodeida, AP reported.

Rebel-held Hodeida is a lifeline for most of Yemen’s population and has long been blockaded by a Saudi-led the coalition fighting Houthis.
