Abbas demands to set time limits for negotiations with Israel

The President of the Palestinian national authority Mahmoud Abbas said that any attempts to restart the peace process with Israel will require a clear definition of the provisional framework of the agreement.

 This statement was made after talks with U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and foreign Minister of France Jean-Marc Ayrault.

«You want to set the time for the negotiation process and to implement the agreements reached. The necessary international guarantees that the agreement will be implemented,» — said, commenting on the Palestinian side, Secretary General of the PLO’s Saeb Erekat.

During the talks, John Kerry stressed Washington’s commitment to a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the principle of two States for two peoples.

Abbas said that he fully supports the French initiative to hold the conference at the end of December. Erekat said that the Palestinian leaders also coordinate with the government of Egypt, recently made a call to revitalize the peace process.

The Palestinian leader also brought condolences to France in connection with the terrorist attacks and noted that there is no difference between the murder of the journalist or the child from the family Databse.
