American soldiers were punished for the bombing of the hospital in Kunduz

The us military is responsible for the shelling of the hospital organization “Doctors without borders” in the Afghan city of Kunduz, got off with disciplinary action, no charges have been brought to them. It is reported Associated Press with reference to sources in the Pentagon.

For the shelling of the hospital, according to the Agency, were punished more than 12 soldiers. In addition to the penalties some of them were reprimanded in writing, which can hinder their promotion. The part of the perpetrators was suspended from the performance of their duties.

On 7 October, President Barack Obama brought personal apologies to the MSF President Joanna Liu for the strike on the hospital and the head of the Pentagon Ashton Carter recognized that the U.S. air force dealt a blow by mistake. He added that every effort would be made “to determine the causes of this tragic incident” and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

November 25, at the Pentagon said that the attack on the hospital was the result of “procedural errors” committed by the us military, and the blow was “a tragic accident”.
