Turkish police arrested at Istanbul’s Tuzla district two admirals suspected of involvement in a failed coup attempt on July 15-16. They were arrested at the apartment where they were hiding, intending to flee to Greece and asked for political asylum
Admiral Nazmi, Ekici served on the basis of Axes in the South-West of Turkey, and Admiral of Jiretin Imran in Istanbul.
According to prosecutors, on the night of the coup they tried to rebel against the subordinates of the Turkish authorities.
Together with them in the hideout was another Admiral, who managed to escape. It is also reported that naval commanders changed the appearance: that they are not learned, they grew beards and mustaches.
