Palestine Commission of Inquiry, which was established to investigate
Yasir Arafat’s death, former president of Palestine, announced that
they received the report about death of Arafat prepared by a Swiss
institute.
Former leader of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Yaser Arafat’s grave was opened under control of a French judge and commissions from Switzerland and Russia.
Arafat’s DNA samples were taken on 27 November 2012.
Yasir Arafat died at the age of 75 at Percy Army Hospital in Paris on 11 November 2004. Suha Arafat, his wife, gave his clothes to a laboratory in Lausanne for investigation.
Suspicions about an assassination heightened, after high amount of radioactive polonium substances were found on his clothes. A French prosecutor ordered to open the grave after that.
