Medienberichten zufolge plant der Generalsekretär eine Reise zur Konferenz, die am 22. Januar in Montreux beginnt und dann in Genf fortgesetzt wird. Er äußerte die Hoffnung, dass der Konflikt in dem arabischen Land gemäß dem Genfer Kommuniqué vom 30. Juni 2012 beigelegt wird.
