Fundraising campaign to aid victims of flood disaster in Bulgaria’s Varna

A fundraising campaign was announced on June 20 2014 to assist victims of the flood disaster in Varna, set up by the Bulgarian Donors Forum and the Charities Aid Foundation together with public broadcaster Bulgarian National Television and Nova Televizia.

Money can be donated by sending an SMS with the text “DMS Varna” to the number 17 777. Each message costs one lev.

The broadcasters said that text messages confirming donations could be delayed because mid-morning on June 20, the line was overloaded.

Donations, which would also assist people affected by floods in other municipalities such as Dobrich and Veliko Turnovo, may be made to the bank account:
