Russian Ambassador Zurabov to attend Ukraine president inauguration ceremony. - Will not participate in the reception

Russia's Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov would attend the official ceremony of inauguration of Petro Poroshenko elected Ukrainian president, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin told ITAR-TASS on Thursday.

Zurabov will attend only the official part of the inauguration, an informed diplomatic source told ITAR-TASS on Thursday. "The Russian ambassador will attend only the official part of the ceremony. Our representative will not participate in the reception," the source said.

The inauguration ceremony will take place in the Verkhovna Rada on June 7.

After the election of the Ukrainian president, the decision was taken that Zurabov will return to Kiev and resume his work as Ambassador to Ukraine. 

• The Russian ambassador was recalled for consultations when "crisis developments began" in Ukraine, Karasin said. Zurabov returned to Moscow in late February.
