Ukraine repays 2012 Eurobond obligations

Ukraine has repaid around 1.04 billion US dollars as its Eurobond obligations placed in 2012, the Finance Ministry said Wednesday.

Kiev has timely and in full paid off a principal of 1 billion dollars and a coupon worth 39.75 million dollars, the ministry said in a statement.

Ukrainian Eurobonds have been already delisted from the Irish Stock Exchange, the statement said.

The bonds were issued in August 2012 with a coupon of 7.95 percent per annum to partially refinance the 2-billion-dollar loan issued by Russia's VTB bank in 2010.

In 2014, Ukraine has to repay around 17.4 billion dollars of its foreign debt.
